Evaluation of factors affecting labors’ safety management productivity from employers, contractors & labors perspective in construction projects: Case study

Abstract
The present research is aimed identification of factors affecting safety of workers from employers, contractors & labors perspective in construction sites. Having reviewed researches which have been done in the realm of construction workers’ safety inside and out of the country, we could identify factors affecting labors safety. Later, subject experts were asked to prioritize these factors which were formulated in the form of a 30-item questionnaire. The questionnaire was distributed among a community of employers, contractors & labors. Data were analyzed using SPSS 20.0 software in order to study and prioritize affective factors individually from perspective of every single group under study and cumulatively from perspective of the whole statistical population. The results indicate that the factors “labors’ use of PPE” and “knowledge of project managers as to safety category in construction sites” with an average of 22.28 and 21.91 respectively, are the two most important affective factors. Comparing the whole community perspective as to the three factors under study with that of every single group under study, we could find that labors perspective is mostly in line with that of the whole community.
